2025 HMDA Peer Data Official Release is Available
The CFPB has released the official 2025 national HMDA peer data as of June 23, 2026. We downloaded and converted the data and, as in the past, made sure to match all Institution IDs with the preliminary data that was released on April 3. By ensuring that the Institution IDs align with one another between these sets of data, all Peer Institution Groups created with the preliminary data will continue to work the same as before. It is the CFPB's intent to potentially release updates to the 2025 HMDA data based upon re-submissions, late submissions etc., and we intend to review the extent of any changes periodically to see if updates are warranted. Installation of the Peer data is accomplished as follows: On-premise (client site) Comply installations Download the data for use in

CFPB Releases Preliminary 2025 HMDA Peer Data
The CFPB released the "preliminary" 2025 HMDA Peer data file on March 31st, which is now available in Comply. As always, this data release does not include the Transmittal File that tells us who each reporter is. RATA downloads the file, links up the Transmittal information from last year based on the LEI number with any institutions that match, and then look up any institutions' LEI information for the ones that don't match. This year that happened to be nearly 130 institutions which needed to be looked up manually. Keep in mind this is not the official final version of the peer data. The official release usually contains updates to the data, late reporter data, and the official transmittal data for each institution. The official data is typically released in June or July, but we are

Here's how to identify and fix the 10 most common HMDA edit check errors before they delay your submission. Understanding HMDA Edit Check Types Before diving into specific errors, it's important to understand the three types of HMDA edit checks: Syntax Edits: Verify data format and structure.
